Sponsoring agents

Sponsorship vs. joining your team

When to sponsor an agent and when to bring them onto your brokerage team instead.

Brokerages, title companies & lenders3 min read

Both let another person work from your numbers, but they mean different things. Choosing the right one avoids surprises about branding and billing.

Sponsor an agent when…

  • The agent is your customer or partner, not your employee.

  • They should keep their own brand on their client-facing sheets.

  • You only want to supply your rates, and maybe cover a seat.

Bring them onto your team when…

  • The agent is part of your brokerage.

  • They should share your logo, contact block, and default rates.

  • You want consistent, on-brand sheets across everyone.

Good to know: A team invite places the agent inside your organization and shares your state and settings. A sponsorship leaves the agent in their own organization and only records that you are the sponsor — so a sponsored agent always keeps their own state and branding.
